Helping Ukraine

            The Ukrainians need a morale boost. Perhaps it could be like the one helping to get Texas their independence from Mexico.  All but a few women and children were killed fighting a hopeless battle but they became heroes and the slogan “Remember the Alamo” helped to rally the people. The building and grounds is a shrine today.

            Perhaps another American iconic word to an opposing army was during the Battle of the Bulge. The Germans had surrounded the Americans so the German General asked for their surrender. The answer was “Nuts”. They held out and Germans ended up falling back.

            I propose the Ukrainians use as their rallying cry “Remember Zmiinyim Island” where thirteen Ukrainians told the warship that was about to shell their little island to “Go F*** Yourselves!” Her words were memorable and repeatable; “Remember Zmiinyim Island” will also be memorable.

            Please send this out to any contacts with the Ukraine people and others who might share. It might even get to the Russian people who are protesting the war.

Karma

            Karma is when bad things a person has done in the past come back to haunt them. Sometimes the person manages to keep past crimes hidden because people don’t consider it worthwhile or unlikely to convict the person for the crimes. Sometimes they stay hidden.

            Some CPAs spend their work lives learning how to confuse their client’s taxes or hide the evasion. Often those CPAs participate in the crime of evasion.

            Why is this relevant today? Donald J. Trump, his children (minus Barron), and their corporation are in great trouble for tax evasion. Both New York City and the State of New York are investigating his property evaluations for loans, appraisals and real estate taxes.

            Their appraisal for the Westchester Golf Club was inflated by saying membership initiation cost was $150,000.00 when the real figure was usually a third of that figure. Another deception was to say the land surrounding one of his country mansions as having other mansions built on it, thus raising the value of that land from raw to developed. The Penthouse in Trump Tower was supposed to be 20,000 square feet making it several times more valuable than its 6,000 square feet. When thee appraisals were used to get loans that is criminal fraud.

            Using other appraisals for paying real estate taxes on the same properties which are much less than the actual value is tax evasion and criminal fraud. All the evidence is in front of Grand Juries and indictments are probable.

No Requirements

            The United States Constitution specifies the minimum age to be a Representative, Senator, or President. Oddly it didn’t specify they had to be white males. Of course women and blacks were not capable of such strenuous thought so the founding fathers did not need to mention either women or blacks.

            The Constitution did not specify any requirements about who could be a Supreme Court Justice. A Justice, as we see today, can be a man, woman, white or black, etc. One interesting thing is the lack of an age requirement. CBS nightly news showed a letter from an eleven year old black girl to President Biden asking to be nominated. Of course the Senate wouldn’t give consent but it is an interesting point.

            Another point is a law degree, or even law experience, is not required. At least one justice has not had a law degree. The news article didn’t mention her politics so the little Black girl could be a bi-partisan choice.

Build More Nukes

            Even the most avid climate activists know wind and solar nor massive batteries will not be able to supply enough electricity for the future without fossil fuels. Geo thermal and hydro will continue to produce a small percentage of our overall demand. As we switch to electric vehicles, demand will increase exponentially. We will need to rely on many more nuclear plants to be a base load for that increase.

            China and many other countries are planning to build over 200 new design nuclear plants. The United States is still building an old style plant in Georgia and has gone over budget by over 300 percent. Several new designs for smaller, cheaper reactors are being designed. Two are from Mill Gates’ funded design groups. Six have been submitted by various groups with more to be submitted.

            I live in an area with six units in three plants (two boiling water and one pressurized water) and thousands of tons of stored used nuclear rods both in pools and casks. Permanent storage of those rods was supposed to be in Yucca Mountain in Nevada. The plan was to turn the nuclear waste into glass cylinders to be stored in drilled holes deep inside the mountain. Billions was spent on getting it ready until Nevada Senator Reid stopped the work just before opening. For safety from terrorism and accidents, it must be opened and operated as soon as possible.

            We need to build lots of new design safe nuclear plants for a stable nighttime base load and for days when no wind and sunshine are available.

It Is Too Late

            I remember a song from back in the sixties that had a line “It’s too late to say you’re sorry.” I think it is too late to say we are sorry about how we have, are and will be destroying the Blue Marble.

            We have dug huge pits for minerals we wanted and left piles of waste we didn’t want, polluting for centuries. We have tunneled for other minerals which ruin water tables and piling huge amounts of slag to pollute. Our search for oil and natural gas has destroyed the underground, surface, and air at the well head and downstream to the refineries, stations, and users. Let’s not forget the mountains of trash we have generated by our wasteful habits. Most oceans have a plastic island with the Pacific Ocean’s being thousands of square miles. Thousands of square miles of the Gulf of Mexico are oxygen-starved from fertilizer and manure runoff in the Mississippi River watershed.

            Global warming may end up making the Blue Marble uninhabitable to life just because we have dumped billions of years of carbon sink into the atmosphere in a few centuries. Each future generation will find life more difficult until life is no longer livable.

            We will try to lessen some of the effects of the damage we have done but it is too late to keep the final extinction from happening.

No Right to Kill Others

            The media and the political headline seekers of both parties are either attacking Biden or failing to support him over his late June statement of “Life will return to normal.” Biden was told if he could get more than 70% of adults vaccinated, the virus would become an inconvenience so he passed the good news on to frightened and tired Americans.

            He went wrong because he thought people would continue to get shots rather than die to spite him. Those people don’t care about themselves because it is just like the common flu or they take vitamins and horse de-wormer. They don’t care about their families, friends, or what they are helping the virus mutate to. There clearly is a way to get around that stupidity and that is to wear a mask when around other people. Oops, that is against some misguided belief that it is against their constitutional right, but they can not cite which one.

Anti-Abortion Idea

            I am shocked and astounded by all the men who are in those anti-abortion rallies. If they really want to make an impact, they should quit complaining about the result and work on preventing the pregnancy.

            Now that can be done in four ways. First is many types of birth control methods, none of which are absolutely fool proof. Second is even less reliable and is humorously called the rhythm method. The third requires an unnatural human behavior by abstaining from sex.

            The fourth way is completely reliable but it is semi-permanent. A woman can have her tubes tied or have a hysterectomy, which is permanent. A man can have a vasectomy which is also semi-permanent.

            So why don’t all those men who are so adamant about telling women what they can do with the seeds they planted by consent or not? Shouldn’t they instead be pushing for vasectomies to prevent abortions? To not do so seems to go back to days of slavery for women; back when women walked two steps behind and one to the right. The wife should be passive in all things.

            With all the options before and after the accident abortions numbers are declining. However with pre-natal care, abortions are happening because of fetal and woman’s health problems. The problem and the need for abortion could have been prevented by the man so get off the anti-abortion parade and start a vasectomy parade with more women participating.

The Duping of America

            I was watching an episode of the old Wyatt Earp series starring Hugh O’Brian. He was faced with a group of vigilantes masquerading as a citizen’s committee. The leaders were crooked and conning reputable citizens into doing bad things in the name of law and order.

            The situation reminded me of today’s conning people to do things ordinary people wouldn’t normally do or believe. Those people who were involved in the January 6 insurrection were good examples of how easy it is to con people into committing a crime. The ring leaders weren’t there, just the fools who were conned into believing every thing that was wrong in their lives could be fixed by believing in conspiracies.

            Some people believe the GOP is being conned by a few sycophants to believe the most outrageous conspiracies they wouldn’t normally believe. More and more people are beginning to see the evil autocratic path the GOP has taken. Those sycophants of a wanna-be dictator are corrupting the modern American society by trying to go back to an age before science and the constitution.

            The capitol insurrection was just like the Wyatt Earp episode where a few people persuaded others to do wrong.

Truth Barred After 20 Years

            I am a student of Military History and its involvement with the State department, the political spectrum and the American Public. The military has lied to us from its inception. George Washington and the other generals lied about the Revolutionary War and it has lied about every war since.

            We are told that Pershing never allowed any of his troops to be under another nation’s control. False! He sent troops to fight with the French and British. General Douglas MacArthur had a company of public relations people to con Americans about how great he was running his part of the Pacific War.

            In Viet Nam we were lied to through the entire time we were there and afterward. When the NVA and the Viet Cong were pretty much defeated after TET, nobody believed it after the years of lies.

            In Afghanistan and Iraq we were lied to on a daily basis to keep the public supporting the announced goals although some truth leaked out occasionally. The first may have been how Bin Laden got away. Another time was the Taliban was destroyed so troops could be moved to the concocted invasion of Iraq. Rumors of high up corruption were dismissed after we pumped billions in cash to support the military and the construction projects in both countries.

            Just like Viet Nam we threw cash to the people we bought. Graft made those “friends” very rich and they bailed when we did.

Coming Across the Border

            They are crossing the border to live here. They might be carrying some disease, we don’t know. We do know they want their descendants to be born in this county.

            We are trying to stop them at the border but we have been unsuccessful. Walls don’t stop them so we are trying to find their homes. Some people have resorted to making their homes uninhabitable. Small groups of people have proclaimed they are poisoning these immigrants.

            So far these people claimed to have killed hundreds but the news stories have only shown three bodies. The people hunting and killing these immigrants wear white and masks hide their faces. They even wear gloves.

            Who are those immigrants and where do they come from? Surprise! They are killer hornets crossing the Canadian border.
