I have a flip phone with Consumer Cellular. I have asked them to eliminate texting and voice mail on it because I think people should want to converse with me directly and not send a few words hoping I will respond sometime. Unfortunately this phone has a ton of features which just make using it more irritating than the previous ones.

I just saw a commercial where a woman was watching her dog in her home while she was at the office. I assume that one camera saw the dog out of all the other cameras in the house. She made a voice comment to the dog. Some of the TV shows have shown people in their homes being watched by bad people on cameras they put in or cameras the occupants installed. These cameras operate on Bluetooth which means people can buy a device on the internet that will allow them to hack into that Bluetooth system. That reminds me of driving through a subdivision with a garage door opener raising garage doors. The Wi-Fi can reach the street in front of your home so people can get into your computer and phones that are tied into your system. Not my flip phone!

People keep their financial records on their computer and phones which are hack-able.  My stockbroker, banker, and insurance agent know they must not do anything without a personal phone call or face-to-face authorization from us.

If you did get to this point without wondering how you are getting these scary words from me. My wife has a computer, laptop, tablet and phone. We keep no financial information on it and instantly erase any sent by a company we do business with. Even then she keeps getting fraudulent e-mails which have penetrated her security programs.

Good luck, because technology only gets better at crime.
