This morning I watched an interview with Ohio’s Democratic Representative Tim Ryan. He is unique in that he actually answered questions instead of sticking to some preordained line. One of his main concerns is China and their plans to become the dominant power in the world. His thoughts are China has already begun their plans to dominate the world.

            Ryan said Xi Jinping had given a wink and a nod to Putin for the invasion of Ukraine as long as he waited for the end of the Olympics. Thanks to an American drug company dumping Fentanyl into millions of Americans we have a huge drug problem. China has taken advantage of it by exporting hundreds of tons to Mexico where they are moving it across the border for our addicts. The flood of the drug creates more addicts. Ryan said he considers the drug to be a weapon of mass destruction. Could he be right?

            Xi has made the world know he will be taking Taiwan back by force is necessary and is building a naval force to project power across the strait and into the South China Sea which China has little claim to its islands and waters. He has already put a base on an island to dominate the area.

            Too bad Ryan isn’t my U.S. Representative. I think he is a straight talking moderate with a good, intelligent head on his shoulders. The House could use a couple of hundred more like him, no matter what party they belong to!

Under the expansive Silk Road Program the Chinese have bought or leased millions of acres of farm land in Africa to supply their people with food instead of relying on potential enemies. Their Polar Road Plan is to build relationships and commercial bases in Canada, Greenland, and Norway to allow them to freely move ships from China to Europe quicker than through the Suez or Panama Canals. While we are agitating the pulling back from other countries, they are filling the vacuum.

China has always been known for its huge infantry numbers and supporting armor. Today they have a complete array of missiles and nuclear weapons. They have a brown water navy, at least one full carrier group, and both nuclear and diesel propelled attack and strategic submarines. Their air force has comparable planes to the United States. Their stealth jet may be better than our F-35. Their training is as rigorous as ours and they outnumber us in most areas. Except for numbers of nuclear weapons and delivery systems, China greatly outnumbers Russia’s Military or ours.

Their government is much more able to make long term plans than ours because their people’s assembly follows the five ten, and twenty year plans made by their central committee. Their plans are announced to their people so they can be easily directed to support the long term programs. By controlling their financial system they are able to buy those millions of acres, build the farm infrastructure, and send thousands of Chinese to do the work. They are able to loan money to improvised countries to build needed infrastructure with Chinese companies and labor. They are able to build entire high tech cities to solve a problem or manufacture items like solar panels. Our policies are creating the vacuum China is exploiting.
