This week we have learned of two more threats to the world. Russia and China are preparing to invade other lands. The rest of the world has two choices. Either let them go after promising protection or go to a conventional war. It means the world would have hours to make an actual decision to show them if the rest of the world will fight.

            Putin has been trying to reconstitute the U.S.S.R. since his first term as President of Russia. He has used covert political methods to put his minions in power in some of the old Republics. The Russian supported Administration in the Ukraine was kicked out so Putin created a rebel group to take it back but were held to a portion. He moved Russian Marines into the Crimea to annex it and its people. Now he has massed thousands of his troops on the rebel-held portion of the Ukraine border. NATO believes he will create some excuse to try to take the rest of Ukraine.

            XI  has been saying Taiwan is part of China and he will get it back. He has been pouring money into his military. He is rapidly building up his nuclear weapons, Navy and Air Force. His jets have invaded Taiwan’s airspace hundreds of times this year. The U.S. and many other countries have promised to defend Taiwan while we have sold them billions of dollars of high tech weapons to defend itself. We may only have hours to make a decision.

            Russia has been sanctioned before without any compliance. Sanctioning China might cause unrest there but it definitely would in its trading partners like America and Europe.

            Do we let them have their way, or do we go to war and hope it stays conventional?
