The Supreme Court and other Federal and State Judges have cited the historic times as a basis for knocking down laws as to where guns can be carried. During those historic times a gun could be carried everywhere including Churches.
Historically people carried their guns into the courts where the judges now ban their possession. Does historic mean what is a convenient use to them?

In the mid-1900s the law enforcement agencies carried six shot revolvers while the bad guys carried automatics. Now the agencies have automatics and the bad guys have extended magazines, assault weapons converted to rapid machine gun fire. A Southern Illinois Judge is sure to override Illinois’ assault gun ban law. Maybe those people should be allowed to take them into the court.
Thomas Jefferson said the Constitution should be torn up every ten years and rewritten because times change. Times have changed a great deal in two and a half centuries and in ways no signer could have envisioned. Politics has overridden commonsense so tens of thousands of us are killed each year because the courts think we all have flintlock muzzle loaders.
