Millions were happy Pelosi finally got on board by impeaching President Trump on his trying to force Ukraine’s President to look into Biden’s family. I wonder if she really wanted to oust him because there were many better reasons.

Here are some of the more obvious and undeniable constitutional violations. Article I, Section 6 states emoluments is prohibited and therefore a crime. Article II, Section 4 states high crimes and misdemeanors is a reason for impeachment. The crime is holding domestic and international meetings at his properties and charging for them. He has held meetings with the Chinese entourage at Mar-a-Lago. He has held many meetings with Republican leaders and administration leaders charging their campaigns or their departments. The Secret Service is charged a slightly reduced price for their full time rooms. When he was elected membership was tripled. Making the resort his permanent residence requires huge costs for years on shore and in the water.

Article I, Section 9 clearly states “No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law.” It means once a budget is passed by the House and Senate and signed into law by the President it is locked up. If changes are sought by the President the leadership of both parties in the House and Senate must approve the change. Redistributing the money is a high crime and covered Article II, Section 4! President Trump’s redistributing money from military equipment purchases and maintenance and residential repairs to build the wall over the express prohibitions of Congress is subject to the impeachment of the Secretary of Defense and Homeland Security…and the President who ordered it.

Both are slam-dunk convictions she left out!

As I write this during the last few hours of September, the President and his minions have been found to have committed and unbelievable number of crimes. Most of them are lying then having to come clean when the truth was given by others.

President Trump tried to extort the Ukrainian President to find some fictional evidence he could use against Joe Biden who he fears most. He tried to get the Australian President to find some evidence showing he had nothing to do with the Russian meddling in the 2016 election. He had his Secretary of State and chief advisor try to involve Italy in covering for him. Both rebuffed their efforts.

His effort to discredit the whistleblower is despicable but legal. His threats and efforts to find who, is intimidating and completely illegal.

Redirecting over three billion dollars from much needed military and personnel projects on Guam without Congressional approval abrogates the separation of powers. Withholding approved foreign aid without the approval of Congress is a crime. Both are illegal.

His personal lawyer, the Secretary of State, and the Attorney General have all claimed they either weren’t in the room when he committed some of these crimes or have been part of the cover-ups.

Didn’t his cohorts learn anything from President Nixon’s demise? He has broken the emoluments clause several times and boasts about it. He has shredded the Constitution for 22 months and continues to boast about it. Any Republican Senator not voting to find him guilty should be thought of as violating their oath.

That is the question. Whether it is wiser to wait until more people have decided to support the process and its result immediately or to wait for the support to grow?

As of the end of May, one-third of Americans are for impeachment, one-third are against, and one third want more information before deciding. House Speaker Pelosi has been resisting those of her party to start the inquiry while trying to gain additional support from the waiting third and reducing the against group. She has seven committees gathering evidence on the President’s activities and behavior.

The day after Mueller’s television appearance, the President repeated that the report said he and his people were not involved in collusion. He carefully avoided questions on Mueller’s statements concerning obstruction of justice. Mueller said the rules he was given did not allow him to go farther in his report and it is up to Congress to do their constitutional duty. After talking with his close advisors Trump started denying obstruction. Could it be his ego was momentarily shattered and the invincibility facade destroyed?

Pelosi must wait until she can be fairly certain at least fifteen Republicans will vote with her forty-nine Democrats and independents to cast guilty votes. Until then the question should be NO! Of course, Trump might just pardon himself and everyone involved of Federal charges. The states will be waiting for his last day in office.
