The next year or so will be the most exciting legal conundrum our country has ever had. It is sure to go to the Supreme Court. Here is the situation as it evolves over the next months.

            Donald Trump has lied on many notarized documents to obtain loans. His state and federal income tax returns were full of lies and he misrepresented values of his New York properties. These are laws ranging from misdemeanors to felonies involving city, state and federal laws. He is on record of trying to get the Georgia Secretary of state to commit voter fraud.

            If those laws were broken by anyone else who had not moved to another country, they would already have been indicted and in handcuffs.

            That still isn’t the gist of the legal predicament. Trump moved to one of his properties in the state most likely to defend him — Florida. Florida’s history of protecting con artists is well known. If Trump is arrested for Federal charges would the case be tried in the Federal Courts in that District with all the judges he appointed? Will he have to stay in Florida for the rest of his life? What will the Secret Service Protection people do to prevent his handcuffing?

            Think those questions are improbable? The media in Florida are talking about the Plan B ideas to keep New York from extraditing him and what to do if the courts are not going to protect him. Can politicians support a crook when Trump is in the media every night, or will they hide in the shadows to save themselves?

            Ex-President Trump’s legal expenses for things he did before he was President are being paid by the Republican National Committee. These problems may extend back to when he was a Democrat. As of the end of November, they total over 1.6 million.

            Did the RNC decide to pay for his legal bills out of the kindness of their hearts or because they are afraid of his threats to start his own party? When he wanted his, his kids, and his sycophants travel expenses paid by the RNC, they buckled and put them on a credit line.

            The legal term for what Trump is doing is called extortion. He has been getting away with extortion all of his business life. He has become an expert at extorting to get his way. His four years as President is a good example. Until more people publicly stand up to him, the longer and more dictatorial he will become. He wants to become President for life with control over the legislatures such as Putin and Xi have in Russia and China.

            This will happen until others like Kinzinger and Cheney stand up to him. American is supposed to be controlled by “We the People,” and not by “He says.”

            I can’t understand why the Trump sycophants are continuing to do audits of the Presidential vote in states that flipped from 2016? When someone is running a con they don’t want the con to be exposed as a complete fraud by their own activities. After the disaster of the Arizona audit by people they claimed are experts, they can’t now say Trump won in Arizona. They can no longer claim a long dead Venezuelan Dictator or an Italian Drone or the voting machine company changed the votes from Trump to Biden.

            The sycophants now want to have the same experts audit votes in Texas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. All have already gone through multiple audits by real bi-partisan groups. When a psychopath participates in such an obvious “Big Lie” they must have some belief it has some truth in it.

            When all the partisan audits find Trump lost what will happen to them. Hitler’s sycophants professed to believe his “Big Lies” long after he died. Can Trump’s sycophants and true believer followers ever see they were conned?

            What will happen with the tens of millions who finally see Trump and their political leaders have been conning them so they can stay in office. Will they turn off completely, turn against the Republicans who have been conning them, switch parties, or become so disillusioned they really do become anti-government?

            Are we in some kind of time machine because it really feels like the 1930s. There’s an old saying about history repeats itself. The world was in the throes of right wing nationalism. Some countries managed to avoid the take-over but others didn’t and World War II resulted.

            Today we are learning how close Trump came to overthrowing the democratically elected Senate and Congress, the Department of Justice, and Department of Defense. General Milley blocked Trump from a military action inside or outside the country. Trump had appointed people to those departments who he thought would help him to overthrow the government. They backed away from following his directives. His advisors went along to the point of actually participating in his plan before telling him all of his appointees and advisors would quit. He backed down. The January six insurrection was designed to allow Trump to have plausible deniability.

            Trump’s advisors and sons have been trying to set up right wing nationalists in Brazil, France, Italy and other countries. Brazil’s Bolsonaro openly says he is a Trumpist. Bannon and Trump Jr. have made many trips there to help Bols1naro.

            Nationalist want to radicalize people who will support a dictatorship. Once in control they will take over opposing media as Bolsonaroand Putin have done. They and others have jailed or killed anyone opposing them.

            Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin started the same way. Is the same thing happening today? Seems like it.

            Hitler was a narcissist obsessed with power and hatred for anyone who disagreed with him. He excoriated people in meetings, newspapers, and the new mass media; Radio. Much of his communication to the people was lies and total fantasies. Other people in power dismissed him as a clown who had little chance of winning power in an election. The government became infiltrated by Hitler’s converts.

            He covertly directed anti-government anarchist groups to subvert the rule of law. When Nazi Party had reached about a third of the German Reichstag, he tried for a power grab and lost. When the Party started to lose seats, opposition people started to die.

            Hitler ultimately got into power by making pacts with other politicians and then breaking those pacts to gain more power with other pacts. Finally he was made chancellor and the people he felt weren’t loyal to him were permanently retired. The military and everyone else had to swear allegiance to him.

            One addition to the “Big Lie” he needed was an internal enemy. He made the Communist Party into an enemy of the people. After eliminating them under the guise that the Reichstag building fire was started by Communists, he made Jews and other ethnics’ enemies of the Aryan people.

            This was all done in the first few years of the 1930s. Does any of this sound like the last half of the twenty-teens?

            Jeff Bezos is stepping down as the top honcho of Amazon after buying MGM Studios. His new position will still keep him very much in control of the company. Several analysts have questioned why he paid a third more than MGM’s value. The stated reason for the purchase is to give Amazon the in-house ability to make its own movie and television shows for its own streaming service. MGM will give Amazon the people, facilities and library to stream content for twenty-four hours each day.

            One analyst had another idea which may be the back of Bezo’s mind. In MGM’s Library are out takes of “the Apprentice” which MGM never released. Tom Arnold was one of the contestants. Some time after he left the show he was interviewed about his time on it. Tom mentioned all the racist comments Trump made and were cut out of the final release. Those comments should be in the MGM Library.

            The question is will Bezos release them showing Trump’s racist, sexist personality making it difficult for the GOP to continue to blindly follow him? Will they increase his white supremeists following and give them greater infiltration into the government and every day life? Will the out-takes be released during the nightly news programs when the main topic is Trump’s legal cases?

            Bezos hates Trump so this fall could be very, very interesting

            An erudite person said as scary as Trump’s try to overthrow the election and Democracy was what if a competent Trump-like person got elected? So many Presidents and Prime Ministers around today’s world have changed their country’s laws and constitutions to allow them to stay in power and to restrict voting by people who would not have voted to re-elect.

            Xi, Putin, and others have revised their laws so they can remain in power. Even Israel’s Netanyahu thought he could stay in his corrupt position and like Trump hopes to con people into getting back in power, both need to be in power to avoid criminal charges.

            Several hundred psychologists signed a letter to congress’ leaders – both Trump sycophants — questioning Trump’s mental condition in December after the election. They were across the political spectrum so their concern wasn’t political. The January 6 insurrection and continuing The Big Lie of winning so as to keep the adulations of his followers indicates his mental instability. Many books written by his former aides and associates confirm the psychologists’ evaluations.

            In less than erudite terms, he is completely nuts and has been a rich pampered narcissist all his life. He’s acting like the unstable person hundreds of experts said. Just as dictators of the past and today, he is addicted to power and adulation of sycophants and weak minded people. A Democracy requires the truth and voting participation by all Americans.

            The Trump supporters say the criminal investigation into the Trump organization’s tax evasion and fraud is because of politics. They are partially correct because they couldn’t continue their investigation while he was still President.

            While Donald Trump was President he could keep the tax records concealed since the IRS was controlled by his people. Barr was Attorney General and most of all; Trump could pardon himself, his family, and his employees of any federal crime. The state investigation would have died since the power of the White House and his appointed judges would have stopped it.

            The investigation paused for most of Trump’s term, but it started long before he was nominated. Was that the reason he ran? These charges are just looking at the tip of the iceberg on taxes. They are only one branch of investigations going on by states and the federal government for numerous crimes committed by the Trump organization, his family, and Donald Trump himself.

            Will the sycophants and gullible people continue to support someone who is an adulterer, liar, conman, and the object of so many investigations by people of both parties? Will being in his political circle be a liability?
