GOPs New Values

            Donald Trump says he wants the GOP to follow his values. Let’s do an honest assessment of his values. He has married three women solely because of their being eye candy for his image. He commits adultery and brags about unwanted fondling of women. Many of his close friends have been or are being investigated for despicable acts with teenagers.

            The GOP used to have law and order as one of their party’s pillars. To follow Trump’s values they must change to say tax evasion, perjury, fraud, cyber bullying, vote fraud, and other crimes are acceptable.

            Politicians change their values as often as they change their underwear. Trump wanted to be involved with the Democratic Party but they found him to be “too greasy” for NYC politics! To get in good with them, he donated $100,000 to Planned Parenthood. When he wanted to try to be in the GOP, he became an opponent of Planned Parenthood. Swindling investors and contractors is one of his core values. According to some people connected to “The Apprentice”, he is racist and only allowed non-white people to compete because of network insistence.

            Does the GOP adopt his only true value that has never changed? His only value is to do whatever he has to do to build his massive ego even larger. He doesn’t care about anyone else. He said he has trained his kids to carry out his legacy. Does the GOP want to make his values theirs?

            U.S. Representative Adam Kinzinger isn’t the second coming but he is maybe one of the saviors of the Republican Party. Like Superman, he stands for the truth, justice and the American way. People are whipping him because he doesn’t want his Republican Party to continue to be taken over by a lying con man. He knows Trump is either living in a fantasy world or just can’t help himself to do anything but con people.

            Will all those people still believe Trump walks on water when it comes from his overflowing prison toilet? Kinzinger does not want his party to be one of racists, militants, conspiracy theorists and radical nutcases.

            I didn’t vote for Kinzinger the last time because he voted too often with Trump’s craziness. He didn’t drink the Kool-Aid Trump and acolytes put out as truth. Trump has been supported by brainwashed people who believe the zaniest conspiracies are real. Kinzinger knows what Trump and his advisors have known a few days after the election. He lost! Trump told us that he lost. Trump told us in his own words, “I am a bad loser”.

            Representative Kinzinger doesn’t want the Republican Party of Lincoln, Reagan, and Bush I to be destroyed by a con man. Quit beating Kinzinger up and stand with him to save the G.O.P. or go down the Trump wonderland fantasy.

            The news is full of Republicans backpedaling from Trump by saying they didn’t see the character of the man. They have been scared of or sucking up to Trump for the last four years. Some have said he has changed since the election so they can no longer support him.

            How could anyone not see this was going to happen? Did they not listen to what he has said in front of cameras for over five years? He acted like the dictators he has befriended and defended. Again, how could anyone not see this coming?

            It is an old but valid axiom about rats fleeing from a sinking ship. Apparently the capital invasion was a rope to shore for the rats to flee. Many have decided to go down with the ship, hoping they can keep the support of his radicalized followers. Let them all go down with the ship!

            Trump is ripping apart the GOP by burning down our democracy by coercing and bullying people to follow him down the rabbit hole. These sycophants are afraid he will continue to try to stay in front of his deceived base and the dark side podcasts hurting their re-election prospects.

            Ordinarily a President is more or less ignored by a legal entity since they no longer have any power and declining influence. To stop the destruction of the GOP and the erosion of the Constitution, the FBI and the states must continue their investigations and indictments of Trump.

            Even with pardons, the FBI should continue their investigation into Trump, his family, and cohorts. A pardon prevents an arrest, indictment and trial on the pardoned crime. However, it means they have to state fully their crime when questioned or it is an obstruction of justice and if they lie, it is perjury. The truth or the crimes will destroy his ability to lead most of his followers.

            The states’ can get Trump on income tax evasion, perjury on tax forms, and financial documents. Georgia can be added to the list of states since Trump has been taped trying to secure vote fraud which is a Federal and State crime. Today they can add incitement to riot.

            Unlike Adolph Hitler, his power and influence would quickly decline, allowing the Republican Party and the country to heal. Locking him away would prevent another President from abusing power. This aberration must not be allowed to ever happen again.

The Republican Party is in danger of being severely damaged this November by continuing to follow the egocentric and incompetent President. He is losing his base and when that happens the party’s down ticket suffers.

John Bolton’s book presented a few new facts about Trump and his minion’s incompetence. They fear the President if they don’t fawn over him and protect him from criticism. Bolton details Trump’s lack of knowledge and ability. His erratic self-promotion at the expense of America is now becoming a liability.

Conservative stalwarts of the party are starting to criticize and fall away from him. With the scent of blood in the polls, many real Republicans are looking for a way off the Trump parade. Even Pence and McConnell are publicly going their own way.

His continued mismanagement of the virus has caused and continues to cause tens of thousands of deaths and millions of unemployed Americans. Vice President Pence and their science advisors tell us to wear masks but Trump says it is up to the local officials which he then criticizes for their decisions. It is the same thing he did in March and April when he said he would supply PPE, then said the Governors should, he would, and then abdicated on the problem.

Republicans have a history of not trusting the leaders of North Korea, China, and Russia since they are enemies, not having a bro-romance as Trump is having. These foreign leaders know how to manage him and have gotten all they want. Real Republicans are upset over his compliance.

Sooner or later Republicans will see they have tied themselves to a racist, lying, egocentric man who will leave a scorched earth party. At a time when the white base is a shrinking minority, Republicans are supporting an anvil, not a conservative anchor.

I watched five Republicans on Chicago Tonight who want to defeat Senator Dick Durbin. Since spring training has started, I thought I would use baseball analogies to describe their performance. They were a mixed team of four men and one woman. Two were obvious racists who didn’t hide their bunts so they could draw in the infielders who felt the same. One used to play for the other team before becoming a Republican. One has struck out several times before and will be an easy out. One was an Indiana doctor who thought Vice-President Pence was a medical expert who was the right substitute to head the corona virus game.

Some were obviously coached and supported by the NRA because they hoped to hit a home run with the Second Amendment. Four of the five would swear loyalty to the owner while one would follow the third base coach on a play-by-play basis.

Most of the questions were softball lobs and fouled off. One player swung his bat and hit the woman about taking her gun to a school.

If these five are the best the Illinois GOP has in the bullpen, they should send them down to the miners to sit on the bench. Senator Durbin may have been in office for years and has trouble running the bases but this season is over before the regular season starts. It looks like the GOP needs to do some prospecting.

A Once Proud Party

The basic meaning of paranoia is thinking someone is after you or is laughing from making fun of you. It is called reality when it is really occurring. People say President Trump is paranoiac because he sees everyone is against him but he is right.

Our NATO Partners openly laugh at him behind his back here and at home denigrate him and his administration. His constant flipping of support causes many of our formal allies to look Russia and China for dependable relationships. He says Boris Johnson (Hopefully no relation to me) is his good friend,, but Boris didn’t want any joint pictures with him that might cost him his re-election to Prime Minister of the U.K. Some openly criticize and mock him at international meetings and in their own countries. They speak well of America but poorly of our President.

When Europe needs us to maintain a close relationship with them against Russia, Trump is causing them to worry. We are the glue to NATO which has prevented a European war for longer than any time in recorded history. Russia is doing its best to break up NATO with the same tactics of interference they are using against us. Instead of unity, Trump is causing disunity and confusion.

His verbal and tweet threats have cowered a party that stood for fiscal conservativeness into trillion dollar and growing deficits. He has changed the GOP into a party without a moral code. The party’s only function is to make him feel great about himself at the expense of themselves and the country. How the moral right has fallen! Will it ever arise from its knees again?
