Anti-Abortion Idea

            I am shocked and astounded by all the men who are in those anti-abortion rallies. If they really want to make an impact, they should quit complaining about the result and work on preventing the pregnancy.

            Now that can be done in four ways. First is many types of birth control methods, none of which are absolutely fool proof. Second is even less reliable and is humorously called the rhythm method. The third requires an unnatural human behavior by abstaining from sex.

            The fourth way is completely reliable but it is semi-permanent. A woman can have her tubes tied or have a hysterectomy, which is permanent. A man can have a vasectomy which is also semi-permanent.

            So why don’t all those men who are so adamant about telling women what they can do with the seeds they planted by consent or not? Shouldn’t they instead be pushing for vasectomies to prevent abortions? To not do so seems to go back to days of slavery for women; back when women walked two steps behind and one to the right. The wife should be passive in all things.

            With all the options before and after the accident abortions numbers are declining. However with pre-natal care, abortions are happening because of fetal and woman’s health problems. The problem and the need for abortion could have been prevented by the man so get off the anti-abortion parade and start a vasectomy parade with more women participating.

The Duping of America

            I was watching an episode of the old Wyatt Earp series starring Hugh O’Brian. He was faced with a group of vigilantes masquerading as a citizen’s committee. The leaders were crooked and conning reputable citizens into doing bad things in the name of law and order.

            The situation reminded me of today’s conning people to do things ordinary people wouldn’t normally do or believe. Those people who were involved in the January 6 insurrection were good examples of how easy it is to con people into committing a crime. The ring leaders weren’t there, just the fools who were conned into believing every thing that was wrong in their lives could be fixed by believing in conspiracies.

            Some people believe the GOP is being conned by a few sycophants to believe the most outrageous conspiracies they wouldn’t normally believe. More and more people are beginning to see the evil autocratic path the GOP has taken. Those sycophants of a wanna-be dictator are corrupting the modern American society by trying to go back to an age before science and the constitution.

            The capitol insurrection was just like the Wyatt Earp episode where a few people persuaded others to do wrong.

Truth Barred After 20 Years

            I am a student of Military History and its involvement with the State department, the political spectrum and the American Public. The military has lied to us from its inception. George Washington and the other generals lied about the Revolutionary War and it has lied about every war since.

            We are told that Pershing never allowed any of his troops to be under another nation’s control. False! He sent troops to fight with the French and British. General Douglas MacArthur had a company of public relations people to con Americans about how great he was running his part of the Pacific War.

            In Viet Nam we were lied to through the entire time we were there and afterward. When the NVA and the Viet Cong were pretty much defeated after TET, nobody believed it after the years of lies.

            In Afghanistan and Iraq we were lied to on a daily basis to keep the public supporting the announced goals although some truth leaked out occasionally. The first may have been how Bin Laden got away. Another time was the Taliban was destroyed so troops could be moved to the concocted invasion of Iraq. Rumors of high up corruption were dismissed after we pumped billions in cash to support the military and the construction projects in both countries.

            Just like Viet Nam we threw cash to the people we bought. Graft made those “friends” very rich and they bailed when we did.

Coming Across the Border

            They are crossing the border to live here. They might be carrying some disease, we don’t know. We do know they want their descendants to be born in this county.

            We are trying to stop them at the border but we have been unsuccessful. Walls don’t stop them so we are trying to find their homes. Some people have resorted to making their homes uninhabitable. Small groups of people have proclaimed they are poisoning these immigrants.

            So far these people claimed to have killed hundreds but the news stories have only shown three bodies. The people hunting and killing these immigrants wear white and masks hide their faces. They even wear gloves.

            Who are those immigrants and where do they come from? Surprise! They are killer hornets crossing the Canadian border.

            Seldom in history have a few people been able to influence so many people so easily by using social media, podcasts, millions of websites, and other internet devices. Look how well Hitler and Stalin did with their crude propaganda devices – radio, movies, and newspapers. Imagine what would have happened if they had had internet.

            Hitler’s propaganda minister, Paul Joseph Goebbels, may have invented the term “Big Lie” to describe his tactic of repeating a lie over and over until people believe it. We have a “Big Lie” going today that is so embedded in many people’s minds they can’t see any truth.

            Lying is nothing new. Some homo sapien probably lied about the current leader so he could oust him and become leader. Lies about George Washington and Andrew Jackson are famous. Sometimes those lies have a basis of truth, sometimes they are so preposterous people believe they must be true.

            Following Trump’s “Big Lie” about his election, Republican Governor hopeful Elder started saying California’s Newsom recall election was fixed before the election happened. Elder spends his days coming up with lies to spout on his radio show.

            A good American stays away from misinformation which is another term for lies. A good American seeks the truth and not the lies!

Twenty-Second Century

            I still disagree with pulling out of Afghanistan but I have since learned much more in the last few days of the retreat. We allowed the massive country – wide corruption. It ran from the top to select individuals in commerce, military and others. They siphoned off billions instead of paying the lower troops and civil servants. Some haven’t been paid for many months. Our senior state department and allied military leadership were told to not interfere.

            No American soldier has been killed since February 2020. I thought it was by tactical luck but it was an agreement by the Trump administration. The agreement Trump made with the Taliban was we would leave in May 2021 if they didn’t kill an American. We did lots of small operations and backed up Afghan military operations after the agreement but apparently Americans were not to be killed.

            We have a history of nation building efforts with some being successful and some not so much. We spent twenty years trying to build a competent nation in Afghanistan and failing. President Biden says five, ten, twenty more years wouldn’t make any difference. I don’t think I disagree with him but I think history will quickly show we needed to stay to continue to go after international terrorism bases in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Welcome to the 22nd Century!

            This is an open letter request for someone to tell the caring and responsible people why so many people have decided to not get vaccinated or wear a mask. By not doing these two simple things they risk their health, their life, and the health, and life of their own family and friends.

            Statistics show those who have had both shots and the booster are over 95% protected from getting sick or needing to go to the hospital. Wearing a mask keeps you from transmitting the disease to someone else like a child or a baby. Almost all of those filling hospital beds haven’t had their shots and the rest who have been listed as fully vaccinated didn’t get their boosters so fully vaccinated isn’t true.

            Those people who get it may not be out of the woods when they are considering themselves well. Many will be what are called long haulers. Those are people who will have physical and cognitive problems for weeks afterward.

            I have yet to hear or read any intelligent answer to the question. Do they think they are better than anyone else? Do they not realize polio vaccines are the reason why kids are not wearing leg braces as my classmate Dennis Meyers did or my father’s weaken left arm? Consider the elimination of measles so kids are not blinded and suffer other effects.

            Yes, these vaccines aren’t 100% effective but in today’s jet world we all just need to do the best we can to save everyone, their families, and others. So again, why?

Reducing Strikes

Reducing Strikes

            I am not anti-union but when a union conducts a strike which places the public in danger their leaders should be jailed and the members fined a meaningful amount. Those unions would include police, fire, medical, and education. Some others might fall into that category under certain conditions.

            I realize strikes of some sort have been used to gain a favorable contract for labor. Often the issues are safety but OSHA should be informed instead of holding a strike. Many strikes over pay are long enough that the strikers may take years to make up for lost pay.

            An alternate idea is for binding arbitration by a group or maybe a hundred people of which both sides would pick two with them picking the fifth as chair. The leaders of both sides would present their sides’ views without lawyers to object and hide the facts.

Constitutional Right

            I don’t know how many times I have read the constitution and the twenty-seven amendments to it. I have seen it misused and misinterpreted by the average citizen and those who should know better. If the Supreme Court of the United States can make a judgment which is totally against the specific words of the second amendment, it is no wonder the average citizen who many never have read it can come up with their own interpretation.

            No one has yet told me what part of the March 4, 1789 document expressly says not wearing a protective mask is constitutionally protected. The people who are using it explaining why they don’t have to wear a mask are the same people who get upset when the courts stretch it in a way they don’t like.

            I think the problem is people just don’t care about themselves, their families, or people around them. We send people off to war to protect the country, to fight and if necessary, die for us. If they are willing to die to save lives, why can’t we get vaccinated and wear masks to save lives? When did Americans become so inconsiderate of family, friends, and others?

            The Constitution literally says the government is responsible for our welfare. Even Trump says to get vaccinated and wear a mask. Not doing so is un-American!

Alternate Reality

            During several interviews with people about the January six insurrection, I heard several say the insurrectionists were living in an alternate reality. They were deluded into believing “The Big Lie” through media siloing of information, Trump’s sycophants, and Trump himself.

            I remember a Representative or Senator who had been very scared and angry criticizing the insurrectionists and then to please Trump a month later saying it like a regular tourist day. His revised statement was played over and over, buttressing “The Big Lie” and starting another that the insurrectionists didn’t support Trump but were anti-Trump!

            How can people be convinced what they saw and heard then isn’t real now. Some of the insurrectionists have said in court that they are mad at Trump because he said he would march with them.

            Fox and other media make millions for keeping their viewers deceived. Trump is making money through a new site he co-owns and from donations. He says he is a billionaire yet is constantly conning or coercing people into giving him money and paying his bills.

            Millions of people do live in an alternate reality.
