Donald J. Trump will go down in history as a poor one-time President when he could have been remembered as a two-timer near the top of the second tier. Why? The lack of management and leadership during the pandemic causing hundreds of thousands of deaths that could have been avoided. In spite of a need to coordinate the response among states by purchasing and distributing personal protective equipment; at first he said he would, then changed his mind, then he would, and finally cast the states against each other.

            He belittled his scientific experts at the daily briefings and made extremely stupid suggestions about how to keep from getting it and how to kill it if they got it. He put a Fox talking head with had no expertise in virus to head the scientists. His example of not wearing a mask caused millions to emulate him causing tens of thousands of them and their families to die.

            Instead of a few thousand dead we have a quarter of the world’s deaths with only 4% of its population. Other leaders which followed his example have met with the same results. Brazil’s leader followed Trump’s example and Brazil is now second in deaths per 100,000.

            Proper leadership as in Germany, Austria, Italy, Japan and Australia are examples of how Trump should have led in the controlling of the pandemic. He claims his people got the vaccine out at Warp speed but many of “His” vaccines are from foreign companies. His efforts in distributing vaccines has been scattered and behind other countries. Those countries with national health services have tested more and faster, secured more vaccines per capita, and have injected it into more people than we have.

            We can only hope Biden’s experienced people will save hundreds of thousands of us from choking to death and long term disabilities.

           Why does Donald J. Trump want so much to stay President of the United States since he has spent so little time working on doing the job? Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution prohibits civil and state laws from applying to a sitting President. On January 21, 2021, he could be hit with subpoenas concerning at least two civil suits and several state crimes for income tax evasion, fraud, perjury, and other crimes he has been avoiding for years.

            Ivanka has already been before a grand jury involving an emoluments type crime and diversion of campaign funds regarding Trump’s D.C. Hotel. He has talked to staff members about pardoning himself and his family. Pardons would protect them from any violation of Federal crimes but not civil and state offenses.

            He had planned to live at his Mar-a-Lago Resort but he had signed an agreement limiting his time there to a few days per year. While the President’s area residents could only complain, now their suit can go forward preventing him from living there. That means Donald and Melania Trump’s votes may have been voting fraud since the club can not be his legal address.

            Since New York City and State want to be first in line, the Trumps will not be staying in their New York Hotel. Since most of Europe, in particular Scotland, will not welcome him, maybe his close connection to Netanyahu – oops, he is trying to stay in power because he has prosecutors waiting for him to leave office, too. Maybe an Arab country without extradition to the United States will be his new home.

            The last five years has been nothing more than a huge con to protect Donald Trump, to a lesser extent, his offspring, and money. Being President enabled him to divert IRS and FBI attention away from him and his activities. The constitution kept New York and other states from indicting him.

                Ivanka Trump has just been questioned in moving money from the campaign to their Washington, D. C. hotel by greatly increasing the price of Trump events at the hotel. That diversion of funds is illegal!

                Trump, Jr. wrote a best seller which surprised people who know him. Even with a ghost writer it allowed the campaign to buy tens of thousands of Junior’s books putting campaign money into Junior’s pocket. That’s illegal, too.

                Why was more money so important to the campaign in the last few months before the election? The family and friends listed as campaign people blew through $800 million on plush resorts, fancy cars, meals, and other luxury expenses having no connection to the campaign. Much of the money was spent at Trump properties. That’s illegal, too.

                The current grift is the fundraising to fight voting fraud. So far they have conned over $2,700 million from his gullible followers. Someone donating money must spend over $5,000 before any money goes toward that baseless effort. Guess where the first $5,000 from each person goes! Now that con IS legal, since you are told!                

Even after he pardons himself and his family for all the Federal offenses, they can still be indicted under the state laws of New York and Florida. High priced lawyers will try to postpone trials and jail time.

            Aside from Trump being a narcissistic, megalomaniac, sociopath, why is he conning his base into giving him money for a legal battle to stay in office? His deceived and gullible base has donated over $200 Million to that deception. Unless they read the fine print, the first $5,000 goes to his campaign to be used to pay off his former campaign debt, and for him and his family to take trips around this country and maybe others under a guise of a campaign expense. Much of the donated money from the last campaign was wasted on buying, not leasing, expensive cars, penthouses, and thousand dollar dinners.

                As sneaky as that sounds, the real reason is prison sentences for the rest of his life. He might try to throw his kids under the bus, but his signature is on the documents that New York is using to build their case. He can pardon himself (legally questionable), or resign and hope Pence will pardon him like Ford did Nixon. That would create another problem for him. He could only be pardoned from Federal prosecution, not state. When called by the state to testify about broken state laws he would either risk jail by refusing to testify, explain the reason for the pardoning of crimes committed, or face an obstruction of justice sentence (5th amendment can’t be used, as he is pardoned from Federal Crimes committed before the pardon).

                The sentences could be years in a white collar prison and tens of hundreds of millions in fines and penalties. His adult sons and daughters along with some of their friends and employees could go to jail also. He is petrified of January 21, 2021 and the probability of a handful of subpoenas.
