Ninety years later few people know who supported Adolf Hitler when he was rising to be leader of Germany. Not only ethnic Germans but some famous American like the Ambassador to England, Joseph Kennedy (JFK’s father), and Charles Lindbergh were supporting Hitler publicly. Thousands of Americans were members of the American Nazi party who were rebelling against the New Deal and President Roosevelt.

            Today we have tens to perhaps hundreds of thousands of Americans supporting Russia’s Vladimir Putin. How can people who live in a democratic society support a dictator who quashes any dissenting voice by locking them up or murdering them? Who can believe the propaganda about why he invaded Ukraine when we have many video hours of the invasion and eyewitness accounts of the destruction of civilian buildings? He lies about denazification and American germ warfare factories. Both of those lies arose after his plans for a quick win was spoiled.

            Some media talking heads, pod-casters, and social media people are replaying Putin’s lies and making up their own which are rebroadcast by Putin’s state controlled media. Fox is putting their own lies on the air which the Russians re-air on their state controlled media.

            How Americans and Europeans can get so off track that they would believe someone like Putin is beyond comprehension. Of course Americans still believe Trump who is a Putin wannabe.
